Scotlands Great Caledonian Forest opened it’s gates to summer visitors today the first coach load of tourists to arrive held a maypole dance around it’s ancient trunk.

A recent aerial survey taken around the British coastline has confirmed that there are now more oil slicks than cormorants.

Our American correspondent reports that the Large Blue is alive and well and living in Downtown Burbank.

A wise old barn owl has set up night school classes in new building techniques at a large farm shed in Lincs. So that resettled hedgerow birds can be taught how to nest in combine harvesters.

Returning migratory salmon are being offered specially designed goggles at selected estuary stations in an effort to enable more of them to navigate the murky lower reaches of our rivers , gill filters are also available on request.
