Tapestry

A memory caught upon the tapestry of time,

Dark grey and faded, silent eyes, forgotten stare

A smile so warm from lips that tender kissed upon my face,

But now so still beneath a silver frame that only I can share.

Forever encased in a beauty so sublime

Dulled in black and white

A picture formed from flash of light

That lay so still beneath the film of a ghostly silver mist,

Where no creases in her tender flesh did show the wounds of time

An ageless vision, grim shadows cannot cover

Although you sleep and forever keep inside God’s realm

Of eternal bliss

I remember sunlit years when you and I were lovers

So upon the polished crystal glass I imprint a loving kiss.
