The Willow Tree

Underneath the Willow Tree I laid the wreath

It spoke a silent word, written in tear tumbled ink

Telling of my love for you through every wonderous year

I would not forget when we danced below the shady green

Caressing our hair between the flow of the blowing leaves

Those days now seem like a long forgotten dream

For now I have but memories of you that I will not forget

I pray those thoughts will help me see them through

Until I lay my weary head beneath the Willow Tree next to you.
