The Wibbly Elf

The sound of a flute would fill your ears

A woeful tune so full of tears

If in Wibbly Wood you stray

The place to hear this sad song play

For upon a toadstool clad in green

Is the saddest elf I have ever seen

With a tear rolling down a ruby cheek

Hear he sits each lonely week

For many years he has been down in heart

Since his sweetheart she did part

For in a fever she had died

And up to Heaven her soul did glide

So all alone was this poor elf

For he had always had such good fine health

The Wibbly elf
