Queen Eleanor

The room was small

And candle light

Lit the chamber

Displayed the sight

Of the youthful Queen

Angelic, beautiful and so serene

Seated upon her marble throne

In seclusion all alone

Her skin was pale the purest white

Her eyes though bright

The lightest green

Were the saddest eyes

I’ve ever seen

Dressed in blue

A flowing gown

A dull copper crown

Upon her head

Queen Eleanor had led

Her kingdom well

But the hoards of hell

Were rising in the east

And soon the peace would end

Her Kingdom she must defend…
