So many things I meant to do
so many paths I meant to tread
so many places I mean to go
but somehow I lost the thread

I'll do it later I said to myself
I'll do it when the kids are grown
I'll do it when I have more cash
but somehow I should have known

that someday never really comes
that someday is now or never
that someday is the thief of time
but somehow I wasn't that clever

and so the years have passed me by
and so the years have drifted
and so the years have taken their toll
but somehow the veil never lifted

So here I sit still dreaming dreams
so here I sit still yearning
so here I sit an ignorant fool
but somehow I'm finally learning

Hurrah! Better late than never Gwenllian eh!?!??

This year I made a new years resolution that was not to lose weight, or get fitter (my usual failed resolutions) but to have adventures. Do you know what, it was the best resolution I ever made! I have done more things this last 6 months that I would consider adventurous then in the rest of my life and there are many more planned for the coming 6.

Absolutely, I decided at the start of this year to stop trying to please everyone else, and so many good things and opportunities have come my since, I wish I'd done it 40 years ago! :D

I wrote a poem today using a couple of rhymes the same as yours. I just read this and thought...ooh creepy!
