I broke the Law
I admit it freely
but it wasn't such a big crime really

My mind was on
some other thing
and before I knew it
the camera went PIng

It should have been 30
but I did 35
It was wrong I know
but we're all still alive

so I went on a course
for speed awareness
so no points on my licence
though a fine in fairness

so, how did I do?
well, I learnt quite a lot
so will I keep speeding?
Oh no I will not!

Parking permit

Sitting there quietly
doing no harm
what sign?
what? No waiting
at any time?

Paying attention but
not to the road
unpack the car
of the musical load

Chatting and laughing
from inside the inn
unaware of my
dastardly
mortal sin

Permission to park?
No not here
try elsewhere
now lighter in pocket
and greyer of hair!
