I love the paintings of H R Geiger. The dark sexuality, and the disturbing images have always fascinated me. I always look at his paintings and find myself drawn into the pictures. They are so powerful and oddly erotic.

I see that you have discovered the art of picture posting Gothicka, good picture of you I must say! ;) I understand how to do that now too. I like Geiger, but the paintings of Richard Dadd have always appealed to me, he was a tragic artist who murdered his own father.

You'd expect that I would post a picture of a cat, but no, my nature is drawn to wide open spaces and sunlit skies. So this obscure artist deserves recognition. The great Benjamin William Leader! I adore his painting of Tintern Abbey. Two paintings below for you to admire! A world away from that Geiger fellow!

This is a cool new add Gothicka. If that pic is really you, I'm blown away. My favorite painter happens to be Geiger too, I'm a big Alien fan. Still, this painting by Grant DeVolson Wood (February 13, 1891 – February 12, 1942) is kinda fascinating. It's sorta menacing, but then it's not. I saw it in a gallery when I was a kid, stared at the thing for ages.

I love this idea! Brilliant. So, love the paintings so far! I am very romantic, and I just love the paintings of Klimt. :D

'Garden of Earthly Delights' 'The Last Judgement' Hieronymus Bosch c. 1504 These two paintings are worth a look, so much going on in them.

Frustration Attraction - Heidi Taillefer, a very modern artist, but I am really impressed by her paintings, they are very distinctive and unusual.

Rubens Fall of the Damned Der Hollensturz der Verdammten. Painted a very long time ago. Lived 28 June 1577 and died 30 May 1640, but he left a legacy of wonderful paintings. His efforts should inspire Grimnians to keep on creating too! Just wish I owned one!
